Toyota, a leader in selling compact pickups in US, is all set to showcase coma Toyota Racing Development (TRD) T|X, limited edition pickup truck in Las Vegas at the 2011 SEMA Show. With its idea based name “Baja Series”, the truck divulges bold graphics and motivated by Toyota’s Baja racing heritage and is expected to reach new level in functioning and fun.
Tacoma T|X Baja Series models built completely at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, San Antonio are planned for launch in late spring 2012. The group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division, Bob Carter comments that Tacoma has been the undisputed sales leader in the compact pickup segment. The truck already has earned a unwavering reputation for durability, reliability, off-road capability and is known for stellar quality, according to Carter.
The rich Baja racing truck tradition of Toyota dating back to nearly 30 years has numerous titles dotting its journey. The celebrated Baja 500 and 1000, TRD Off-Road TRD T|X and T|X Pro packages remind you of its glorious legacy. Now with the development of the T|X Baja Series, Tacoma off-roading is now set to rise to new level.

The T|X Baja Series has a restyled exterior as well as the interior in all the models. Exterior changes comprise of a redesigned hood, front bumper, headlamps, grille among other changes. On the inside, you will see a new center panel design for the instruments. You will also notice a new steering wheel with a revised gauge cluster. Other changes include new air conditioner, power point locations and air conditioner.
