Scion to Unveil Scion Racing at NAIAS 2012

Car makers are taking the competition seriously and therefore they make sure that they come up with the best cars during auto international shows. The North American International Auto Show is just around the corner and Scion has now announced that they will unveil their new Scion Racing FR-S race car at the press conference at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The same car will be competing in the Formula Drift 2012 where the car will be driven by veteran driver Ken Gushi. The all new car by Scion has 600 horsepower and has been a collaboration between Scion Racing and GReddy that has been with Toyota for performance products.

Apart from the launch of the race car, Scion will also make an announcement of a special program called First 86 where 86 lucky people will get an opportunity to be among the first to own Scion FR-S. These selected owners will have the opportunity to get Scion Racing car before the car is officially launched in the market. The all new Scion Racing race car is inspired by the 2013 Scion FR-S compact rear wheel drive sports car that will also go on sale from spring 2012. This will be the fifth high performance vehicle from Scion that will soon join the Scion family.

To make the car more interesting Scion has decided to connect BeSpoke infotainment audio system to the car that is produced by Pioneer Zypr. Scion has mentioned that this will provide better driving experience to the drivers and will help them to personalize their content and services while they are driving their car. Jack Hollis, Vice President Scion said that from this year all new Scion models will have standard Bluetooth HandsFree and HD Radio Technology. However the all new BeSpoke infotainment audio system will take their cars to the next level and offer something better to the consumers who want to stay connected even when they are in the driver’s seat. He also mentioned that the new Scion Racing is inspired from the 2013 Scion FR-S which is an exceptional car that has balanced performance.
