Porsche Unveils Two New Cabriolet Models

There are many car makers who are known for the kind of cars that they introduce in the market, but when you think about some of the sophisticated cars on the road then you have to think of Porsche. For many years, Porsche have maintained their position as one of the best automobile manufacturers in the world and they are now ready with two new Cabriolet versions which will be designed for the next generation consumers. These two new cars that Porsche has unveiled are the seventh generation 911 Carrera and it will be called 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Both the cars will be available for sale in the United States from spring 2012.

The all new Porsche Cabriolet will be very similar to the Porsche Coupe but it will have all the Cabriolet features like aluminum steel construction with all new convertible top design. It will also have great roof design which is very similar to the roof design of Porsche Coupe. Porsche designers have worked hard to keep the car weigh less by using aluminum, magnesium and advanced high steel which makes it convenient for the car to bring down the fuel consumption level. Since the weight of the car has been reduced it also helps the dynamics of the car and makes car handling much more efficient.

The new Porsche Cabriolet 911 can accelerate from zero to 60 in just 4.4 seconds and has top speed of 177 mph while the other 911 S Cabriolet has a better speed and can go zero to 60 in just 4.1 seconds and has top speed of 187 mph. However, both the cars have same engine which is 3.4 liter boxer six cylinder engine with DFI but they still have different performance level. The 911 Carrera Cabriolet engine can produce 350 horsepower while the S Cabriolet engine can produce 400 horsepower.
