Mercedes Benz has remained one of the top automakers in the world for many decades and it was almost in 1954 when the German automaker decided to come up with two new cars that they debuted at International Motor Sports Show in New York and those cars became among the most valuable cars in the history of Mercedes Benz. Both 300 SL and 190 SL have been popular with car buyers around the world and many believe that they are safest investments that one can make by buying a car. These two cars were also the first in the SL sports lineage that have been so popular with Mercedes Benz fans.
Although, both the cars are classic cars they still have the same level of price range in the market. According to HAGI, both the cars have managed to see the growth in their price factor with the passing of years. Mercedes Benz 190 SL has seen 10% increment in value since 1980 and that has sped up even more after the turn of the century. On the other hand, Mercedes Benz 300 SL has also seen increase in its value of around 11% and the value has quadruple since 2004.
One major difference between both the classic cars is the price range. While the 300 SL has a higher price because of its aluminum bodywork, the 190 SL is also not too far behind its larger cousin. Both the cars have high value and have stable price in the market and they have managed to attract investors for more than six decades now.
