The scene at Geneva Palexpo is hot; 191 automakers from every part of the world have gathered to show the best they have got. On the very first day, the event showcased hundreds of cars in different vehicle segments. Being specific to the luxury cars sector, it is hard for me to rank the most bizarre and brilliant luxury cars of 2014 Geneva Motor Show. After an extensive overview of different luxuries, I have chosen the most commendable ones.
Jaguar XFR-S Saloon
Jaguar has brought its leading model XF R-Sport in two different versions: 2015 Jaguar XF R-S Saloon and Sportbrake. The Saloon has its own distinct under the bonnet specifications that can hardly be seen in any other vehicle of the same segment. It has got an extremely powerful 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine that gives off 550 horsepower and 680 Nm Torque. This machine is available in eight-speed transmission with Quick shift functionality, active electronic differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems. Regarding interior, it is created with exclusive materials like carbon and leather.
Hyundai seems to be an active contributor to this latest auto event. Besides its two concept cars, the automaker unveiled the all-new 2015 Genesis, which is a lot better than its predecessor in terms of design and features. The car will run on a 3.8 liter V6 petrol GDI engine and would be available in eight-speed auto transmission. The model is further standardized to two separate versions; one for the UK and second for the European markets, both available in Two-Wheel drive and HTRAC All-Wheel drive systems. Talking about interior, the 2015 Genesis owns world’s first CO2 sensor to monitor the gas levels.
Rolls Royce Ghost Series II
The much anticipated Ghost Series II is now officially unveiled by Rolls Royce at Geneva this week. Outdoing its predecessor, this new series holds an outward appearance, re-sculpted LED headlamps, and effortless dynamism. You will see everything that can be expected from a supreme luxury vehicle. The marque is considered to be the best in its class with splendid connectivity, finest audio system in the history, and onboard technologies.
Bentley Flying Spur
Bentley’s booth at the Geneva Motor Show is fascinating everyone by displaying the all upgraded Flying Spur with new V8 powertrain. The Spur justifies the comfort, styling, technology and performance standards of Bentley family. The newly incorporated 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine brings out 500 horsepower and 660 Nm torque, allowing the sedan to touch 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The estimated feasible top speed of the Flying Spur with this engine would be 295 km/h.
Although not the main attraction of the BMW stand, M4 is stealing the attention of sedan lovers at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. However, the real magnetism of the car is its Yas Marina Blue paint job. Such bright color on a high-performance sedan is prominently visible from quite a distance.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe
This is truly the most fascinating luxury sports car of the show. Unveiled for the first time, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is an exclusive production of the German automaker. The most notable feature of S-Class is the active curve tilting function MAGIC BODY CONTROL chassis system. Painted in metallic silver, this premiere coupe is an ultra-stylish piece of metal. The S-Class Coupe was introduced with four other models from Mercedes-Benz.
As the Geneva Motor show has just started, you can expect lots of revelations in the coming days. The event will last till March 16 and I’m sure would amaze all of us.
