The all new 2012 Honda Ridgeline is available in four different models which includes Ridgeline RT, Ridgeline Sport, Ridgeline RTS and Ridgeline RTL. All the earlier models of this four door passenger pickup truck have been upgraded. Honda has tried to give it a new look through better grille design on the front, aerodynamic improvements, friction reduction engine and better EPA fuel rating.
When you take a quick look at the all new 2012 Honda Ridgeline you can see that Honda has made this car very rigid with traditional body on frame design. The cabin from the outside looks very spacious and it is that way on the inside. The appearance from outside is very solid and it looks like one piece appearance. There are large side mirrors for better rear view and windshield wipers have heated wiper zone so that it can work in all weather conditions and minimize ice scraping. It also has 5 foot long composite cargo bed that can handle 1100 pounds. There are four cargo area lights and dual action tailgate for easy access to the cargo.
When you open the door and sit inside the new 2012 Honda Ridgeline you can feel the comfortable and spacious cabin. Since the cabin is very comfortable the driving part also becomes better and the seats are ergonomically designed. All the controls large and small are well designed for easy access from driving position. The cabin also provides storage area for mobile phones, CDs and portable music players. There is an extra storage option under rear seats as they can be lift up.
Honda has worked hard to provide better performance with the upgrades and the 2012 Honda Ridgeline comes with SOHC 3.5 liter VTEC engine that can produce 250 horsepower and 247 lb feet of torque. It has 5 speed electronically controlled automatic transmission to maintain appropriate gear control especially when driving up and down the hill. It also has Variable Torque Management – 4 wheel drive system that allows the car to drive on any road conditions including ice. It also has heavy duty brakes, dual radiator fans, and seven pin trailer hook up.
The 2012 Honda Ridgeline comes with better safety features like advanced dual state front passenger SRS airbags. Front side passenger airbags with OPDS, and two row side curtain airbags. It has tire pressure monitoring system and Vehicle Stability Assist for electronic stability control.
