Honda Releases 2013 Honda Accord Coupe Concept Specifications

Honda is not only looking forward to bring in some of the best cars to the world but the company is focusing on bringing the best automobile technologies and therefore Honda decided to bring out the all new 2013 Honda Accord Coupe Concept at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car definitely got the best response from the people who were present there at the event but Honda has now decided to provide the specifications of the car for those who were unable to attend the event and want to know more about the all new 2013 Honda Accord Coupe Concept.

John Mendel, Executive Vice President of Sales for American Honda said that this will be the ninth generation Accord but this will definitely raise the bar as Honda has decided to bring in better powertrain and various other safety technologies to provide better fuel efficient and fun to drive performance.

The all new Honda Accord Coupe Concept has dynamic front bumper with front honeycomb grille and deeply set multi-reflector headlights. There are fog lights attached to the spoilers and there is trunk-lit spoiler at the rear. The company has worked hard to make this Accord the most responsive handling Accord till date. The new car will also have the improved powertrains that Honda has introduced lately.

The car will also have re-engineered 3.5 liter 24 valve SOHC, iVTEC V6 engine that will be paired with new six speed automatic transmission. The engine will also be paired with Variable Cylinder Management technology that will make the driving experience better for the drivers. The new Honda Accord Coupe in electric mode will have 6 kW/h lithium-ion battery and will be able to drive more than 15 miles in the city and the top speed of 62mph. The time required for battery recharging will be somewhere around 1.5 hours using 240 volt charger. The gasoline electric hybrid mode will have 2.0 liter iVTEC inline four cylinder, Atkinson cycle engine paired with electric Continuously Variable Transmission but Honda has announced that the gasoline electric Accord will only be launch next winter.
