The era of electric cars is already making its way in the market. Now, LG and General Motors have come together to design and engineer future electric vehicles that will provide performance as well as features that will impress buyers all around the world.
LG will now be the battery supplier for the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera which will come into the market. Both the companies have signed definitive agreement on Wednesday which focuses on having better partnership for better strategy. LG is now trying to expand their portfolio and they have done it now with this agreement as they now enter the automotive solution provider sector.
General Motor’s Vice Chairman Steve Girsky said that with the help of this partnership many solutions for future transportation will be available and therefore General Motors decided to go ahead with this collaboration. He further added that consumers will also benefit from this partnership as they will get better fuel saving technology that will not only save their time but also bring down the overall cost that they usually spend on their vehicles. The teams from both the companies will now work collaboratively and resolve key issues that can make these electric vehicles better.
