With the ultimate engines and power, cars need to have a mature and styled look. FIAT, with their worldwide reach in the automotive industry, knows just what a car needs for an ideal, luxurious, and safe ride for all drivers. That luxury now comes from Gucci, a new partner to the automotive group. The FIAT and Gucci faction has created the 500 and 500c, detailed cars inside and out.
We had the honor of checking one of these vehicles out first hand, and it is even better in person than in pictures. A test drive took us from the outskirts of Texas to the city streets of Dallas and Ft Worth. There is a certain feeling of ‘coolness’ we got from moving through stop and go traffic in a Gucci outfitted FIAT. The general FIAT 500 has up to 40 highway miles per gallon (31 city MPG). Features include air conditioning, electronic stability control and vehicle information center, and iPod, USB, and MP3 docks. To ensure safety for drivers and their passengers, there’s also BLUE & ME touch less communication center with audio. The steering wheel also has audio controls for easier access. Available audio packages include Beats by Dr. Dre. Engine features for the 500 are situated around a five-speed manual transmission with power windows, locks, and mirrors, speed control, eco:Drive, and seven air bags.
The Holt FIAT of Ft Worth dealership generously showed us this marvel, highlighted the fine details, and even let us take this baby for a nice spin. The 500 by Gucci has more aesthetic features than the basic Pop, Sport, Lounge, and Turbo. There is a signature red and green stripe design along the exterior and on the car sears and belts. Inside is also a contrasting mix of ivory and black with ‘Guccissima’ print. The car also sports the interlocking GG symbol with a cursive Gucci signature on the rear and side door.
The 500 and 500c share many features including that of the five-speed manual transmission, power windows and locks, BLUE & ME interface, and eco:Drive. The 500c now has rear park assist, 3 soft-top colors with the 15 optional body colors, security alarm system, SiriusXM satellite radio, automatic temperature control, and Alpine premium audio system.
The 500c, also by Gucci, has the same attention to detail with a luxurious feel and is the same as the 500 with enhancements. The 500c has a soft top with the red and green print also seen on the side of the car. The 500c also has 16-inch alloy wheels with a retro design. The hubcaps have the interlocking GG logo to match the body color and Gucci signature.
Gucci’s collaboration with FIAT has given the 500 and 500c signature and striking styles that drivers will love. Whether it’s the power of the 500s transmission or the red and green striping, the new Gucci and FIAT duo will definitely turn heads.
