Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Wins Back the 2010 Fastest Car Title

Cars have always been associated with speed and power and that is exactly what Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse stands for. The vehicle has now been officially claimed as the fastest roadster. Bugatti said that they had the spectacular record breaking drive of the vehicle in the year 2010 when the car achieved 431.072 kilometers per hour and it was witnessed and officially confirmed by German organization for Technical Inspection and Certification TUV. However, Bugatti has gone one step ahead as they have made changes to their top version of Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Sport Vitesse vehicle and have claimed 408.84 kilometers per hour speed which is officially confirmed by TUV. Bugatti said that the vehicle is now the fastest open top production sports vehicle on the planet. The car has also been voted as the fastest production vehicle in the world by Guinness World Records. Bugatti is happy to see that the car has managed to clinch back to the original title that they had in the year 2010.

While Bugatti has not made any changes to the exterior of the vehicle that is noticeable the company does claim that they have made some minor changes to the vehicle which actually allows them to lighten up the overall weight of the vehicle. The automaker said that the car has been modified to offer better performance through better exterior features. The exteriors also look sportier and aggressive than the earlier vehicles that have been launched in the market.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is powered by a quad turbocharged 8.0 liter W16 engine that has the capability to produce 1,184 horsepower and 1,106 lb feet of torque. It actually has the same powertrain as Veyron Super Sport but the upgraded turbos and intercoolers offer this car the higher performance that was required to break the record. Bugatti has also gone ahead with additional chassis modifications that can handle the extra power that the car generates while speeding up. While the automaker has not revealed that price tag for the vehicle most experts agree that anything below $2.5 million will be a surprise for many buyers.
