Everyone loves car movies as they’re fun, exciting, and involve some pretty slick driving in awesome cars. Imagine having to work on those movies and compare car insurance deals for those vehicles. Since stunts would be involved, there’s a pretty high chance that their insurance rates were pretty high. Fortunately, for everyday people like you, it’s pretty easy to compare car insurance deals on websites and find pretty affordable rates. Just stay safe when you drive and leave the heroics to these movies:
1. The Fast and The Furious
For modern car movies, The Fast and The Furious takes the cake. Despite four sequels, with the latest being Fast Five, the series still remains strong compared to other movie franchises that degrade over time. Still, the original movie in the series is the best. Sure, it’s a really simple storyline and the acting is mediocre at best. There’s just something so entertaining about the original. You have everything – actions, fast cars, and women. It’s the perfect guy movie.
Also, The Fast and The Furious has more car and driving scenes than other movies in the series. Only time can tell how long this cash cow of a franchise can last.
Ryan Gosling had an excellent performance in this noir-like drama. While the previews to this film were generally misleading and the actual movie wasn’t your typical car movie/action flick, it’s one of the best films of 2011. However, you need to actually “get it” in order to enjoy Drive. There are many underlying themes and interpretations of the film on various levels, so if you go into the film thinking you’re going to be watching something similar to The Fast and The Furious, you’ll most likely be disappointed.
For the few actual driving scenes, there’s just so much grit, power, and emotion. That’s why Drive made it onto this list.
3. Gone in 60 Seconds
Sadly, the majority of Nicolas Cage movies are terrible. You can’t blame the guy for bringing in a consistent paycheck compared to most of the actors in Hollywood. Fortunately, Gone in 60 Seconds is a classic Nicolas Cage film. You have a bunch of awesome cars, an entertaining overall experience, and Angelina Jolie. What more could a car movie fan ask for?
Sure, it’s not Oscar material, but Gone in 60 Seconds is what almost every car flick wishes it could be.
4. The Italian Job
The Italian Job remake, featuring Mark Wahlberg, was pretty much a movie of its own. If you love heist, action movies, then you’re in for a treat. Also, if you’re a fan of the Mini Cooper, you’ll love this film even more. Throughout the movie, you’ll always be on the edge of your seat, wondering what’s going to happen next. There’s even some good acting thanks to Wahlberg and the rest of the cast, something rare in this type of film.
5. Any James Bond Movie
Whether the older James Bond movies with Sean Connery or the latest ones with Daniel Craig, these flicks deliver when it comes to cars. With the majority of them European, the eye candy from these cars add to the usual Bond-type of entertainment of women and action.
