On 20th June 2013 at Detroit, the Chevy brand released the official performance figures of its seventh generation 2014 Corvette Stingray and fortunately the car doesn’t let down the expectations. Chevrolet revealed that the new Corvette accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and takes 12 seconds at 119 mph in completing the quarter miles. The new Corvette is 0.4 seconds faster than that of the previous model which is a good improvement. With its powerful 460 horsepower engine and 3.8 seconds acceleration time for 0-60 mph fits it between the Porsche 911 S models and Porsche Turbo models. The improvement in acceleration makes the new Corvette able to lap the 4.2 miles “Grand Course” of the Virginia International Raceway in just 2:51.78.
The new 2014 Corvette Stingray are loaded with lots of other improved features making it a good option to consider. In the comparison with the Porsche Carrera S the new Corvette Stingray is about $47,000 less expensive. The car employs a 6.2 liter V8 produces 460 horsepower and 465 lb ft of torque plus an optional exhaust performance system. The new version of the Corvette offers a Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic ride control that communicates feedback to the driver and allows the driver to enjoy an incredible and confident ride. The new Corvette will hit the dealership in the third quarter of this year. The retail price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray is $51,995 excluding license fees, tax and shipping costs.
